Drilling Complete at Firestone Ventures Sonora Gold-Copper Property, Yukon, New Claims Staked

October 25, 2006 -- Firestone Ventures Inc. (FV:TSX-V, F5V:FSE) is pleased to announce that the 2006 diamond drilling program consisting of 1821 metres in 12 drill holes has been completed at the Company's Sonora gold-copper-silver property. In addition, Firestone Ventures staked an additional ten mineral claims, bringing the Sonora land package up to 2,250 hectares (5,558 acres). The Sonora property, situated 110 km northwest of Carmacks, Yukon Territory, Canada, is located within 40 kilometres of Sherwood Copper's Minto copper-gold project, currently in development.

"The objective of the project was to test several new compelling geochemical and geophysical targets", explained Lori Walton, President of Firestone Ventures.

All holes targeting the Amadeus Zone intersected strongly altered pyritic intrusive rocks, hosting mineralization consistent with strong surface geochemical anomalies from the Phase One program (see News Release dated Sept 5, 2006). The core also contains additional sulphide minerals requiring thin section analysis for identification. Shear-hosted mineralized quartz veins were intersected in the Wolfgang Anomaly area, and in host rocks of the Amadeus Zone. A map showing the location of drilled zones is available on the Firestone Ventures website at www.firestoneventures.com.

An intense quartz stockwork zone, also commonly mineralized, was intersected in the Figaro Zone. Mineralized quartz veins were intersected at depth at the Giovanni Anomaly, and strongly altered fault-related zones were intersected in both holes targeting the Jupiter anomaly.

Twelve drill holes totalling 1,821.1 metres were completed. A total of 970 drill core samples were taken, including "standards", "blanks" and duplicate samples for quality control purposes. Due to the pervasive mineralization, the vast majority of the meterage drilled was sampled. Samples are being analyzed by ALS Chemex of North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
