Firestone Ventures Update on Morris Gold-Silver-Antimony Property

October 5, 2006 - Firestone Ventures Inc. (FV: TSX-V; F5V: FSE) has received results from a short August, 2006 follow-up exploration program on the Morris property, located 110 kilometres southwest of Williams Lake, British Columbia, Canada. The property is located within 15 road kilometers of an all-weather road extending south from Tatla landing, British Columbia.

Previous exploration by Firestone Ventures targeted a series of gold-silver bearing quartz-antimony-arsenic veins, returning values from chip sampling to 15.2 g/t gold, 383 g/t silver, 13.55% antimony and 0.824% arsenic across 1.1 metres from the No 1 Vein (see News Release dated Oct 8, 2004). The 2006 program consisted of two parallel soil sampling traverses and limited rock sampling east of, and uphill from, the 2004 program. A total of 22 soil and 2 rock samples were collected.

The latest soil sampling results indicate a strongly anomalous arsenic-antimony signature consistent with the mineralogy of the known vein system. Arsenic values range from 67 to 5010 ppm (0.501% arsenic), with three consecutive values ranging from 1580 to 5010 ppm arsenic , associated with antimony values ranging from 29.5 to 282 ppm. Antimony values from all soil sampling range from 10.8 to 282 ppm. Silver and gold values from soil samples were generally low to background, to a maximum of 0.047 g/t gold with 0.73 g/t silver, and 65.3 ppm arsenic. Rock samples returned background metal values.

The strongly anomalous arsenic-antimony values indicate that additional mineralized quartz veins may be situated above the documented vein system. Firestone Ventures will assess these results further to determine future plans for the Morris property.

This News Release has been reviewed and approved by Carl Schulze, BSc, PGeo, Qualified Person for the property, in accordance with regulations under National Instrument 43-101. All samples were analyzed by ALS Chemex Laboratories of North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
