Firestone Ventures Continues Evaluation of Alberta Sun Uranium Project

June 29/2006 - Firestone Ventures Inc. (FV: TSX-V) is pleased to announce that a surface exploration program, including a preliminary radon cup orientation survey has commenced on the Company's Alberta Sun uranium project. Firestone Ventures Inc. has a 100% interest in more than 110,000 acres of land in southwestern Alberta that is prospective for sandstone-hosted, "roll-front" uranium deposits.

The Radon Cup survey is designed to locate hidden zones of uranium mineralization through detection and tracking of radon gas emissions resulting from breakdown of uranium sources. Supply and analysis of the radon cups is provided by Alpha-Track Uranium Exploration Services. The orientation survey will determine whether radon cup surveying is an effective exploration tool in the Alberta Sun project area.

In other news, the Phase One surface exploration program at the Company's Sonora gold property in Yukon Territory, Canada is now complete. The program consisted of surface geophysical surveying (Induced Polarization, VLF-EM and magnetic surveys) followed by geological mapping, rock chip and composite grab sampling and systematic soil and silt sampling. The results will be compiled and reviewed by Firestone in preparation for a Phase Two 1,800 metre diamond drill program in September to test for intrusion-related gold mineralization.

Firestone Ventures Inc. has a portfolio of high quality zinc, uranium and gold properties. For property information sheets, maps, and previous news releases please visit www.firestoneventures.com.
