Firestone Ventures Strengthens Board of Directors

| | September 30/2005 - Firestone Ventures Inc. (FV: TSX-V) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. John Kowalchuk as Director. Mr. Kowalchuk is President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Diamond Discoveries International Corp.
Mr. Kowalchuk has over 34 years of mineral exploration experience with both junior and senior companies working in Canada, U.S., Mexico and Chile. Mr. Kowalchuk was District Geologist for Placer Dome for over six years and was instrumental in the discovery of several world-class mineral deposits in Canada, including the Howard's Pass deposit on the Yukon/NWT border and the Kerr Copper Gold Deposit at Eskay Creek, B.C. Mr. Kowalchuk is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia and is a "Qualified Person" in accordance with National Instrument 43-101.

In other developments, Ken Powell has resigned as Chief Executive Officer. He remains Chairman of the Board, Chief Financial Officer and Director. Lori Walton is assuming the Chief Executive Officer role.
