Firestone Ventures Commences Alberta Sun Uranium Project

September 14/2005 - Firestone Ventures Inc. (FV: TSX-V) is pleased to announce that it has commenced a detailed program of data evaluation, mapping, prospecting and sampling on its Alberta Sun and Redrock uranium properties in southwestern Alberta. Firestone Ventures has a 100% interest in over 100,000 acres of land prospective for sandstone-hosted or "roll-front" uranium deposits.

The uranium potential of southern Alberta was first suggested in Alberta Geological Survey Open File Report 1994-8, and confirmed by results from Firestone Ventures initial field program (see previous News Releases on www.firestoneventures.com).

To help assess the economic and exploration potential of the Alberta Sun and Redrock uranium properties, Firestone Ventures has retained the services of two well-respected consultants, Dr. Douglas Underhill and Mr. Jim Letourneau. Planning sessions and an initial field survey are underway and a detailed surface exploration program is scheduled to commence by the end of September.

Dr. Underhill has nearly 30 years of international experience with uranium project development and analysis. He has broad-based experience in all phases of commercial uranium programs, and has served as a uranium specialist at the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna. Dr. Underhill specializes in uranium geology and deposits, project evaluation (including both conventional and in situ leach), and supply-demand analysis.

Mr. Jim Letourneau, P. Geol. is the Principal of Big Picture Geoscience Inc. His current interests include application of hydrogeology and geochemistry to characterize unconventional resources. Mr. Letourneau has presented numerous research papers on the geochemistry and migration of subsurface fluids.

"We are extremely pleased to collaborate with these highly qualified experts", says Lori Walton, President of Firestone Ventures.

Carl Schulze, PGeo, the Qualified Person for the project, has reviewed and approved the information in this News Release. A Fact Sheet on the Alberta Sun uranium project and a FAQ sheet on uranium are available for viewing at www.firestoneventures.com.
