Firestone Ventures Expands Alberta Sun Uranium Property, Drilling Starts At Louise Lake Property

March 14/2005 - Firestone Ventures Inc. (FV: TSX-V) is pleased to announce that it has applied for four additional Alberta Metallic and Industrial Minerals Permits in the Alberta Sun uranium project area (see press release of March 4, 2005). The total land package 100% controlled by Firestone Ventures now exceeds 95,000 acres (384 square km). All permit areas are easily accessible and are located between 30 km south of Fort Mcleod in southwestern Alberta and the Canada/U.S. border.

The new permits were acquired on the basis of favorable geology and structure within Tertiary fluvial sandstones of the Willow Creek Formation known to contain uranium values greater than 2,000 ppm from rock samples with associated vanadium and molybdenum. (Alberta Geological Survey Open File Report 1994-8).

"We are looking forward to our initial evaluation of the Alberta Sun uranium occurrence. This will take place in mid-March after which we will conduct a more detailed analysis in preparation for a drill program," said Lori Walton, Firestone's President.

In other news, Firestone Ventures is pleased to note that North American Gem Inc. has commenced diamond drilling on its road-accessible Louise Lake copper-gold-molybdenum project located 35 km west of Smithers, British Columbia. North American Gem is earning up to a 75% interest in the property from Firestone Ventures Inc. Phase I drilling will consist of 2,100 m of NQ core diamond drilling in six holes.
